本次峰会由中美创新协会, 北京市科协和动点科技三方联合举办, 聚焦于当前信息行业发展最快的领域之一: 大数据。众所周知, 云计算和移动互联网的高速发展正在推动和改变着企业的运营模式, 越来越多的企业开始运用互联网和移动平台进行市场营销和业务管理，这其中也包括传统的电信、金融、教育和医疗机构。企业如何驾驭爆发式增长的数据，从中提炼出有用信息用于优化产品和服务；政府和医疗机构如何通过民生和医患数据制定更为切实高效的社保和医疗政策；创业者如何能够把握机遇，成为大数据时代的弄潮儿 ---- 这些均是峰会所关注的话题。本次峰会的演讲嘉宾既有来自跨国科技企业的高管，也有国内大型国企和民营企业的领袖，更不乏创业者、学术带头人、风险投资商和政府机构代表。我们相信各方与会者一定会有物超所值的收获。
The 2013 Big Data Innovation Summit is co-hosted by China America Innovation Network (CHAIN), Beijing Association for Science & Technology (BAST) and TechNode.com, with a focus on the latest trends in Big Data -- the hottest topic in the information sector right now. As cloud computing and mobile internet technologies continue to revamp the business model for enterprise, more and more firms start to leverage internet and mobile platforms to improve their marketing and operations, including the traditional telecom, finance, education, and healthcare industries as well. How can firms effectively manage the exploding amount of data, distilling useful information to improve their products and services? How can government and medical agencies make better social security and healthcare policies based on the life and health records of citizens? How can entrepreneurs ride the tide of big data and create the next successful business? All of these topics will be heavily covered during the summit. The speakers of this summit include senior managers of international high tech companies, leaders of state-owned and privately-owned corporations in China, entrepreneurs, academic researchers, as well as venture capitalists and local government representatives. We believe every participant of the summit will benefit tremendously not only from the panel discussions but also from the strong relationships they can build with other parties.

Yanping Hu is the founder of Data Center of The China Internet, aka DCCI. Since 2004, Mr. Hu has been leading the production of China Internet Survey and Annual Report, the most influential annual survey and report in China Internet arena. Mr. Hu hosted his own editorial columns in newspaper media such as Beijing Youth Daily when he first stepped into the Internet industry in 1995. He was the Editor-in-Chief of China Internet Weekly and Director of Communication & Development Center in Internet Society of China, to name a few. He has published a significant amount of monographs, among which there are “Informatization and IT Ecosystem Observation - the 4th Force of the New Four Modernization”, “Crossing the Digital Chasm - Risks and Challenges when Facing the Second Wave of Modernization”, “Digital Blue Paper: A Report on Chinese Internet Economical Development Ecosystem of 2001”, “Outlook of Millenium”, “Era of Pentium” and so on.
Tao Yang, was born in 1984. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at University of Auckland, New Zealand. He was a Post-Doctoral researcher at University of Technology, Sydney. He is currently a Data Scientist at Alibaba Group.He has wide experience in machine learning algorithm invention, intelligent system development. He focuses on developing intelligent forecasting system based on big data mining techniques.
Jamil is an information security and risk professional that is focused on aligning security and the business. He is currently the Senior Business Leader of GIS Strategy, Planning and Initiatives at Visa and serves as a Guest Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). He has previously served in a variety of roles including Chief Information Security Officer at LANL, Senior Director of Security and Compliance at Sitel Corp., Director of Information Security at NextWave Wireless, and Deputy Director of Information Assurance at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Jamil’s work has been featured in CSO (Chief Security Officer) Magazine and Federal Computer Week and has resulted in numerous speaking engagements at IT, security, and business conferences.
Jamil has received a variety of awards including the 2011 CSO Compass Award for change leadership and security innovation, named a 2011 Computerworld Honors Laureate for information security strategic management, the 2011 Information Security Executive West IT Project of the Year for Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) transformation, the Presidents Council for Integrity and Efficiency award for IT Excellence and the NASA Collaborative Achievement Award.

Xuegong Zhang earned his BS degree in Industrial Automation in 1989 and Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems in 1994, both from Tsinghua University. He joined the faculty of Tsinghua University in 1994, where he is a Professor of Pattern Recognition and Bioinformatics now. Dr. Zhang worked at Harvard School of Public Health as a visiting scientist on computational biology in 2001-2002 and in 2006 both in the Biostatistics Department. Currently he is the Director of the Bioinformatics Division, Tsinghua National Laboratory for Information Science and Technology (TNLIST). His research interests include biological data mining especially for microarray and deep sequencing data, gene expression and regulation, alternative splicing, RNA regulations and metagenomics methods and applications, etc.
Ye Yin is the Chief Operation Officer of Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI). Dr. Bruce Ling is a Principal Investigator at Stanford University School of Medicine and has built a multi-facted laboratory of translational medicine. His wet lab utilizes muliti-omics based, high throughput, and high content approaches to identify diagnostic and prognostic utilities for personalized and point of care medicine. His computational lab currently focuses on novel statistical learning algorithm innovation, large scale scientific computing and robust experimental design. Prior to that, he was a Research Director at Tularik Inc responsible for large scale genomics target identification and high throughput screening of lead compounds. Later Tularik was acquired by Amgen for $1.3 billion and gave Amgen access to a trove of potential medications for cancer and inflammatory diseases. Within his tenure at Stanford University, Dr. Ling co-foundered HBI Solutions in 2011 and focuses on health care analytic solution development, including predictive modeling, and co-founded Carmenta Bioscience in 2012 to develop diagnostic tools to manage the disease of preeclampsia in pregnant women.

Dr. Wong is the Stephen R. Pierce Family Goldman Sachs Professor in Science and Human Health at Stanford University, and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA.

Dr. Datong Chen received his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University in Beijing,

In 2001, Dr. Datong Chen co-founded Spreadtrum Communications in China and Silicon Valley as CTO. Spreadtrum was successfully listed in NASDAQ in June, 2007.
Since 2005, Dr. Chen has been Venture Partner in Northern Light Venture Capital, and lead the investments of several high-tech start ups in China. In Jan., 2010, He co-founded the WestSummit Capital, which invest global high-tech start ups. Up to the date, Dr. Chen holds 34 global patents. Dr. Datong Chen has won the China Special Award for Inventor and Entrepreneur and entitled as Chinese Inventor in 2006. He is serving as counsel member of China Invention Association and China Semiconductor Association, and used to be the chairman of Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC).

Eugenia leads the PwC Chinese Business Network (including China, Taiwan, Singapore and
Hong Kong) in California which was created to provide enhanced, integrated, and
on-the-ground worldwide support for US and Chinese multinationals. Eugenia also
leads the Technology Sector for the US Inbound Asian Enterprises and she also has
experience in various industries including, distribution, entertainment, manufacturing
and retail industries.
Eugenia is bicultural and fluent in Mandarin and English, having spent over 15 years in Asia and worked in the Taipei office for 2 years where she helped build a US tax practice. Eugenia also worked in the New York office (US headquarters) for 18 months as the Chief of Staff for the PwC US Tax Leader.
Eugenia has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Dr. Hairong Zheng graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2000, and received his doctorate degree from University of Colorado at Boulder. Lauterbur Research Centre for Biomedical Imaging, Laboratory for Biomedical Optics and Molecular Imaging, and was managing Guangdong Province Medical Equipment Innovation Platform.
